Why is it if you repeatadly use an area, over and over again, it seems to cause a completely random update.

You notice that if you travel in and out of an outpost into the same instance several times, that after a few times doing it, it will do an update and download new content.

Is this "the code" watching you, to see if your being a bad?

Because ive asked others at that exact moment and they havent experienced any new content being downloadded.

It makes me feel a bit paranoid that Anet thinks im doing something wrong and their watching me in some way.

And this happens in challenges too, and only after maybe 5 times of doing it.

i dont think the new content its some spyware content

plz be less paranoid.

gw is not like something personal everthing you do is logged. so dont be too paranoid with it and just play the game

I never noticed it!
I'm not to concerned though, they just wana know what your doing...
As the game maker, you'd think they might wana know why someone repeats something a lot in short periods of time.

Repetitive play wakes up the anti-bot program, is what I would assume.

I use -image switch and I don't get any download in-game EVER. No matter how many times I zone.

I'd say there's a guy with new armor skin/colours or cape you don't have inside the outpost, which could trigger the download.

Well how recently did you update?

It could just be the game decompressing some more data.

It upated when I started GWs.

Then I entered the challenge about 3 times and there was no update.

Then on the 4th or 5th it updated.

I asked the other playes and they didnt get one.

It happens alot when I enter areas alot repeatadly.
